The Baseball Zone’s Annual Catcher’s Camp has been a mainstay in Montgomery County for over 10 years now. Led by Jason Aquilante, a former 2nd Team All-ACC Catcher at Wake Forest
University, this camp is perfect for a player of any skill level. Coach Aquilante has worked with catchers just learning the position, collegiate catchers, and catchers at the Professional
Level.
This 8-week clinic focuses on the skills that define the catcher: Receiving, Footwork, Throwing, and Blocking. Each week, we will continue to build on what was learned the previous week,
introducing new drills that the catchers can do at home, during practice, and before games. Coach Aquilante knows that most youth catchers play on teams that do not provide proper catching
instruction. He places a heavy focus on making sure players have the drills and the knowledge that will help them become independent workers.
*All players must have their own catcher’s gear.
Catching is arguably the most difficult position on the field. And it is made even harder for our youth because they do not receive the proper instruction during the season. Register for this camp
and your player will surely receive the tools necessary to carry them through a successful season.
